Electrician Story

We are continuing to work with the same electrician. We did re-negotiate for a fixed price, and will never work 'time and material again.' Things are much better now. He is letting Dan help him, and is taking more time to do the job right.

Working on an old house is difficult. The beams are not the same size, and some walls have the studs put in sideways. This makes running wires difficult. Today we are putting up wall scones for the lights, and are putting in an electric based smoke alarm system.

We would never have wanted to have the job done unless we were pulling the walls down. Even with tearing the walls down, it has taken three weeks and the job is not done. There is one benefit of wall scones.

We know the attic is not full of bat guana (which can kill you) but, even so, we do not want to be breathing dangerous molds and bacteria.
