Carpet

When choosing a carpet - go a shade lighter. Other than that, the designers leave the homeowner to fend for themselves. There are other concerns. The most important concern should be the glues and chemicals used to make the carpet.

If the carpet was not made in the USA, then there are good chances that 'toxic' and 'cancer causing' glues were used to create the carpet. This is vitally important in children's rooms.

Try to get a carpet without a backing. A rubber backing is also toxic. There are backings that will not put harmful chemicals into the home environment - but still look beautiful for a long time.
