Running Wires Through The Walls

Few people think about running wires when they are renovating their home. We never thought about it until the cable guy arrived and saw all the walls torn out. He suggested that we run wires into the kitchen, into the back of the cabinets, into 2 or 3 places in the living room wall, into bedrooms.

The wires are free. He also suggested running high quality speaker wire through the walls. This way, we could change the room, expand, and alter the house sound systems and television without worry about ripping out walls.

We did run two Internet wires. But, we made sure that the holes were in line, and large enough, to be able to pull better wires in the future. Our computer will probably be on wireless soon. Even the television may be on wireless soon, or on optical cables.

Putting wires in the wall, and making sure it will be possible to 'feed' replacement wires through the walls.
